Happy 2009

I hope you have a blessed 2009. I am looking forward to all that lies ahead for my family and I this year.

I'm excited about going with my hubbie on a long-awaited mini vaca to NC in a couple of days. Just the two of us. First time we have left the boys since, well...ever. I will miss them terribly, but it will be good to get away and have some time - just us.

After we get back, I will be getting ready for my Valentine's Day rush. I absolutely LOVE Valentine's Day and filling orders for that special time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR and be safe out there.

Merry CHRISTmas!

If you have kiddos at home, you hafta check this out. I bought mine a few years ago at Walmart and I tell ya, our boys LOVE it! It's called WHAT GOD WANTS FOR CHRISTMAS by Family Life Publishing. It's a nativity that folds open and stands. Each day, the week of Christmas, your child can open up a box and inside there is a character. In box number 7, there's a surprise (I won't tell you what it is), but it's what God wants for Christmas. There is a book you read to your child, a short description of each character, each day. It's very sweet. My oldest son who is now 6, called it the "activity" for years because he couldn't remember "nativity". I guess there was alot of activity in that stable.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and may your 2009 be very blessed!

A SNIPPET OF MY LIFE

So far, I feel a little ahead of the game. Most of my Christmas shopping is done and those gifts are already wrapped. The house is decorated and the stockings are hung. We took our Christmas card pics this past weekend....

In the hustle and bustle of this time of year, remember the real reason we are celebrating. God sent His one and only Son as THE PERFECT GIFT. Probably not the first thing you had on your list or something you even realized you needed, but once you receive Jesus, you know. God has hooked you up!!!

I'm feeling under the weather today, but I'm having fun finishing up orders. Here's a little of what I've been working on. I had a large order ship yesterday and now that it's gone, I can take a breath. Ok, that's enough.

Heading out now to get a haircut for my 4 year old basketball star. My Dad calls him Prince Caspian, so I think it's time to trim the tree.

Have a happy day!

Ho, Ho. Ho, Ho. It's Back To Work I Go

I hope you had a wonder"full" Thanksgiving. It was a nice break for us and I didn't work on any projects over those few days. We got to enjoy lots and lots of family time. From celebrating my hubbie's birthday on Wednesday, feasting at two different homes on Thanksgiving Day to hosting a homemade pizza & football party yesterday.

GO GATORS! Woo hoo!

Christmas is now in full swing at our house. We managed to get all the decorating done on Friday in time for Saturday's big game and now I'm back to work filling all my Christmas orders. I'm a busy little elf these days, but it's oh, so delightful!
And just a little side note: I can't guarantee any orders I receive after Dec 12th, will be in your hot little hands by Christmas, so if you want something, please order it now. I have stood in many a long line at the post office already and of course, there has to be time for me to work my *Christmas magic*.

I hope to post some pics of my latest creations tomorrow, if I get a chance. For now, I am going to fall into my cozy bed for some much needed zzzs.

Night, night!

Stash Your Stuff

Isn't this the sweetest place to stash your stuff? I made these Trinket N' Treasure Boxes for a sweet lady in Arizona who fell in love with the one I had for sale in my shop. She ordered two more and I had the best time making them for her. Since I don't have girls here at my house, I LOVE getting the chance to create "girly things" for someone other than myself.
These boxes are the cutest way to save all those important momentos in one's young life.

I'M UP TO SOME THINGS...

Ok, first of all, I have to show these off! I can't take the credit for them because they were made by my two boys, but aren't they the cutest ever?! I guess all this Christmas crafting is rubbing off on them.

What I'VE been up to lately....

Just a little peak at some personalized Christmas and birthday gifts. Busy, busy time. If you still want to order for Christmas, please email me soon. The other day, I was at the post office and the line was almost out the door....already! That made me nervous! I want to have enough time to work on your order and get it into your hands before Santa head's down the chimney.

CONGRATUALTIONS, BECKY!

Becky B. is the winner of the Cookies With Santa picture frame. CONGRATULATIONS, Becky!

NEW ORNAMENTS

These are some new wooden Christmas ornaments that I am currently working on for a friend. She ordered them with the date on one side and the names of family members on the other. Aren't they the cutest? I hope she likes them half as much as I have liked working on them.

Hmm, maybe I will make one for my family....

Sweet Success

Well, the Shopping Spree on Saturday was a success. I sold some of my "bestest ever" stuff, met alot of great people and had a lot of fun!

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to my sister in law, Elizabeth, who joined me on yet another one of my adventures. She's not only a sister by marriage, but she is one of my closest and dearest friends. Bissy, you rock!!

And isn't my blog just the cutest?!? I'm still working on it, but my dear friend, Sandy, has helped me out tremendously in getting it to look this good. You should check her's out at GodSpeaksToday.blogspot.com. She's a very talented writer and let me just say, 9 years ago, made a wonderful Matron of Honor.

Thanks friends for all your help. It helps me to be able to do what I do with friends like you!
Wow, that was way Dr. Seuss-ish!

Need a cute and whimsical frame to display this year's picture with Santa? Right now, I am working on these varying designs for an upcoming local Santa Breakfast on December 13th. Each frame is handmade and will be personalized with your child's or family name. Choose from these three frames or I can create something unique just for you. 4 x 6 frames are $20 each and 5 x 7s are $25. You can place your order or get more information by emailing me.
